Locum GP - Luton

Our client, a respected GP surgery in Luton, is seeking a skilled locum GP to join their tight-knit and collaborative clinical team. This thriving practice is dedicated to delivering exceptional patient care within a vibrant and diverse community. As a Locum GP, you will play a vital role in providing high-quality primary care services to the practice’s patients. You will work alongside a multidisciplinary team of healthcare professionals, including GPs, a Practice Pharmacist, Practice Nurses, Healthcare Assistants, and PCN-employed staff such as a Social Prescriber, Care Coordinator, Health & Wellbeing Coach, and First Contact Physiotherapist.

Responsibilities

• Provide a mix of routine and urgent care across 4-6 clinical sessions
• Collaborate with the duty doctor team and dedicated admin support
• Contribute to daily clinical meetings for support and learning
• Pursue specialist interests and engage in teaching opportunities
• Maintain accurate patient records using EMIS Web
• Participate in clinical audits to ensure continuous improvement
• No visits or no on call

Requirements

• Qualified General Practitioner with GMC registration
• Inclusion on the National Performers List
• Eligibility to practise in the UK
• Experience with EMIS Web and AccuRx systems
• Understanding of GMS contracts, Enhanced Services, and QOF
• Commitment to continual professional development
• Strong communication and teamwork skills
