Do skin lesions and rashes catch your clinical interest rather than fill you with dread? Kyan is looking for a Locum GP to support a Truro practice that has built strong dermatology support into everyday general practice.

Key Details:
– Location: Truro, Cornwall
– Role: Locum GP
– Rate: £700 per day
– Availability: Flexible availability across 3–5 days
– Working pattern: Full-day sessions, Monday to Friday
– Patient workload: Up to 15 patients per session
– Clinical system: SystmOne
– Start date: Flexible start date

What Your Day Looks Like:
– A mixed general clinic covering acute, chronic and family health problems
– Assessing skin presentations using the practice’s dermatoscope
– Sending images through the teledermatology service for specialist advice where needed
– Managing your results and follow-up, with support from an experienced nursing team

About the Opportunity:
You don’t need to be a dermatology specialist to enjoy this role, just curious and keen to develop. The practice has a dermatoscope in every clinical room and fast access to teledermatology advice, so you can make confident decisions and avoid unnecessary referrals. Alongside skin work you’ll see the full range of general practice, which keeps every session interesting. The team is supportive and relaxed, and Truro offers a great quality of life, with the Cornish coast never far away. Ongoing work is available for GPs who want to come back.

Requirements:
– Full GMC registration with a licence to practise
– Inclusion on the NHS England Medical Performers List
– Right to work in the UK
– Appropriate medical indemnity cover
– Relevant GP/primary care experience
– Up-to-date compliance
