Newly qualified, or new to locum work and looking for a practice that will help you find your feet? Arron is working with a Doncaster surgery that genuinely goes out of its way to support locum GPs from day one.

Key Details:
– Location: Doncaster
– Role: Locum GP
– Rate: £700 per day
– Availability: Flexible availability across 3–5 days
– Working pattern: Weekday sessions, with a named GP buddy available throughout the day
– Patient workload: Up to 15 patients per session, with longer appointment slots for more complex patients
– Clinical system: SystmOne
– Start date: Flexible, to fit around your notice period or current commitments

Key Responsibilities:
– Running routine and on-the-day consultations across a varied patient population
– Reviewing and actioning results and correspondence from your own clinics
– Sharing occasional home visits with the wider clinical team
– Working alongside ANPs, a clinical pharmacist and a first contact physiotherapist

About the Opportunity:
As a training practice, this team is used to supporting clinicians who are building their confidence, and it shows. Local referral pathways are clearly written up, there’s always someone to sense-check a tricky case with, and nobody expects you to know every local quirk straight away. It’s a well-organised, friendly setup that could easily become a regular base if you’re looking for ongoing work. The practice is also a straightforward drive from the A1(M) and M18, with parking on site.

Requirements:
– Full GMC registration with a licence to practise
– Inclusion on the NHS England Medical Performers List
– Right to work in the UK
– Appropriate medical indemnity cover
– Relevant GP/primary care experience
– Up-to-date compliance
