Prefer shorter shifts to full clinical days? Charlie is looking for a Locum GP to join a well-run same-day access hub in Cheltenham, with hourly-booked sessions that fit neatly around the rest of your week.

Key Details:
– Location: Cheltenham
– Role: Locum GP – Same-Day Access
– Rate: £90 per hour
– Availability: Flexible availability across 3–5 days
– Working pattern: Hourly-booked morning or afternoon shifts, so you’re not tied to a full day
– Patient workload: A mix of telephone triage and face-to-face on-the-day appointments, at a sensible pace
– Clinical system: SystmOne
– Start date: Immediate start available

Key Responsibilities:
– Triaging and managing on-the-day requests from patients across several local practices
– Seeing patients face to face where an examination is needed
– Directing patients to pharmacy, physiotherapy or ANP colleagues where appropriate
– Communicating clearly with patients’ registered practices about follow-up

Because the hub serves a number of practices across the local area, you’ll see a wide variety of presentations without the ongoing admin that comes with holding a list. Hub coordinators handle bookings and keep sessions running on time, so you can focus on clinical decisions. Being paid by the hour means your pay reflects exactly the time you work, which suits GPs balancing other roles or family commitments. Cheltenham is easy to reach by rail from Gloucester, Bristol and Birmingham.

Requirements:
– Full GMC registration with a licence to practise
– Inclusion on the NHS England Medical Performers List
– Right to work in the UK
– Appropriate medical indemnity cover
– Relevant GP/primary care experience
– Up-to-date compliance
