Tired of back-to-back single bookings where you never see the same patient twice? Tom is looking for a Locum GP for a settled, ongoing block of work at a friendly York practice, where continuity of care comes as standard.

Key Details:
– Location: York
– Role: Locum GP
– Rate: £700 per day
– Availability: 3–5 days available, with the option to discuss ongoing work
– Working pattern: The same weekdays each week where possible, to support continuity
– Patient workload: Up to 15 patients per session, with a mix of booked and on-the-day appointments
– Clinical system: SystmOne
– Start date: Start dates to be agreed with you

Key Responsibilities:
– Providing consistent GP cover so patients can see a familiar clinician week to week
– Following up your own patients, including results, referrals and reviews
– Supporting chronic disease management alongside the practice nursing team
– Contributing to the practice’s same-day demand when needed

About the Opportunity:
The practice wants a GP who can settle in and become a familiar face, so it’s ideal if you enjoy continuity rather than constant change. You’ll have your own consulting room, a reliable admin team who know the patient list well, and a clinical team happy to share local knowledge from day one. York is easy to reach by road and rail, and you’ll get a predictable diary without giving up the freedom of locum work.

Requirements:
– Full GMC registration with a licence to practise
– Inclusion on the NHS England Medical Performers List
– Right to work in the UK
– Appropriate medical indemnity cover
– Relevant GP/primary care experience
– Up-to-date compliance
