OOH Locum GP – Newcastle

Evening and weekend cover with genuine flexibility – we’re recruiting Out-of-Hours GPs to join the Newcastle OOH service on a sessional basis.

Key Details:
– Location: Newcastle
– Rate: £90 per hour
– Availability: 3–5 days available, with the option to discuss ongoing work
– Working pattern: Evening, weekend and bank holiday sessions
– Patient workload: Mix of telephone triage, face-to-face consultations and home visits
– Clinical system: SystmOne
– Start date: Start as soon as you’re ready

About the Opportunity:
The service is well-staffed and well-supported, with experienced clinical leads on hand throughout every shift and a driver/base team handling logistics so you can concentrate purely on patient care. It suits GPs wanting to top up their week with well-paid, structured sessions outside normal hours.

Requirements:
– Full GMC registration with a licence to practise
– Inclusion on the NHS England Medical Performers List
– Right to work in the UK
– Appropriate medical indemnity cover
– Recent OOH or urgent care experience preferred
– Up-to-date compliance
