GP - East Sussex

Our client, a well-established GP practice in the fabulous semi-rural location of East Sussex, is seeking an enthusiastic and motivated General Practitioner to join their friendly team for six sessions per week.

As a GP within this high-achieving practice, you will provide top-quality medical services to the practice population. This includes engaging in day-to-day activities such as surgery consultations, telephone advice, home visits, and associated administrative tasks to ensure accurate record-keeping, continuity of care, and overall patient well-being.

Responsibilities

• Deliver high-standard medical services, including consultations, telephone advice, and home visits
• Comply with the requirements of the practice’s GMS/PMS/APMS, Enhanced Services, educational/training delivery, and private contracts
• Adhere to the principles of good medical practice
• Undertake duties such as prescription signing, prescribing reviews, and serving as duty doctor per the rota
• Conduct clinics, post-natal checks, and child developmental checks as agreed or required
• Maintain administrative records related to contracts, enhanced services, and QOF coding
• Follow agreed practice procedures and protocols
• Regularly attend in-house clinical, administrative, and educational meetings

Requirements

• Full registration with the GMC and a recognised medical defence organisation

• Registered and approved on the Medical Performers List

• Knowledge of IT Clinical Systems (SystmOne)

• Compliance with the practice’s Equality and Diversity Policy, recognising and respecting the rights, needs, beliefs, privacy, and dignity of patients, carers, relatives, and colleagues
