Salaried GP - Newcastle

Our client, a GP practice in Newcastle, is seeking an enthusiastic and committed Salaried GP to join their friendly and supportive team. This is an excellent opportunity for a GP who shares their passion for delivering high-quality, patient-centred care in a diverse and inclusive environment. This GP practice is dedicated to providing whole-person care, reflected in their diverse staff mix which includes social prescribers, pharmacists, chaplaincy, nursing and HCA teams, an ACP and a GPA. They are passionate about tackling health inequalities and ensuring excellent care for their most vulnerable patients, including asylum seekers and those with co-morbid mental health, substance misuse and social challenges. The practice values every team member and fosters a supportive environment, with weekly lunches and whole practice meetings where staff can share joys and challenges together. They strive to provide and evidence excellent quality care amidst the challenges in the current climate.

As a Salaried GP, you will work alongside a dedicated team to provide the highest standards of care for patients, addressing a wide range of health needs in a general practice setting. You will play a vital role in maintaining the practice’s commitment to excellent clinical care and strong patient focus. 

Responsibilities

• Deliver high-quality, whole-person care to a diverse patient population
• Manage a wide range of presenting health needs in a general practice setting
• Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team to provide comprehensive patient care
• Participate in daily huddles, weekly practice meetings, and MDT meetings
• Contribute to the practice’s efforts in tackling health inequalities

Requirements

• MBBS and GP Vocational Training Certificate or equivalent
• Current registration with GMC and on a performers list
• Current registration with a recognised MDO
• Commitment to providing high-quality, patient-centred care
• Excellent communication and teamwork skills
