Position Overview

As a Salaried GP, you will play a crucial role in providing comprehensive primary care services to the practice’s patients. You will manage a diverse caseload, ensuring the highest standards of care for all registered and temporary patients. This position offers the chance to work alongside experienced GPs and contribute to the overall success of the practice.

Responsibilities

• Conduct surgery consultations, telephone consultations, and home visits
• Manage a wide range of health needs in a primary care setting
• Check and sign repeat prescriptions
• Develop personalised care plans for patients
• Provide counselling and health education to promote patient well-being
• Admit or discharge patients as necessary
• Collect data for audit purposes to ensure quality improvement

Requirements

• Degree in medicine recognised by the General Medical Council (GMC)
• Completion of a two-year foundation course in general training
• Specialist training in general medical practice
• Enhanced Disclosure and Barring Service (DBS) check
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
• Strong organisational and time management abilities
• Commitment to providing patient-centred care
