Our client, a well-established hospital in Hertfordshire, is seeking a skilled and compassionate doctor to join their Walk-in Urgent Care Clinic. This is an exciting opportunity for a GMC-registered doctor to make a positive impact on patients’ lives by providing high-quality care for minor non-life-threatening injuries and illnesses.

s an Urgent Care Clinic Doctor, you will play a crucial role in assessing, diagnosing, and treating patients of all ages who present with minor injuries and illnesses. You will work collaboratively with a dedicated team to ensure the efficient medical management of casualty cases and contribute to the overall objectives of the department.

The hospital’s Walk-in Urgent Care Clinic is dedicated to providing prompt and effective treatment for minor non-life-threatening injuries and illnesses. Located conveniently at the front of the hospital, the clinic is open 7 days a week, offering almost instant access to experienced doctors. The Urgent Care Clinic takes pride in delivering the same friendly service and excellent standards of care as the main hospital.

Responsibilities

  • Demonstrate a high standard of clinical skills in treating patients
  • Document accurate and methodical accounts of patients’ journeys
  • Use departmental electronic records resources appropriately
  • Maintain a personal professional profile and adhere to GMC code of practice
  • Participate in personal development planning and access necessary training
  • Support the Casualty First manager in team building and development
  • Deputise for the clinical lead in their absence

Requirements

  • GMC Registered Doctor with Licence to practice
  • Minimum of 2 years post-graduation experience
  • Experience in General Practice and managing minor illnesses
  • A&E experience is highly desirable
  • Commitment to ongoing training and development
  • Evidence of CPD
